Banged-up Colts unable to end Jaguars road losing streak in Week 5 loss

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A depleted Colts team erased a 14-point fourth-quarter deficit but was unable to end its road losing streak to the Jacksonville Jaguars, losing, 37-34, on Sunday at EverBank Stadium.

The Colts in Week 5 were without nine projected starters from Day 1 of training camp: Quarterback Anthony Richardson (oblique), running back Jonathan Taylor (ankle), center Ryan Kelly (neck), defensive end Kwity Paye (quad), defensive end Tyquan Lewis (elbow, injured reserve), defensive end Samson Ebukam (Achilles, injured reserve), defensive tackle DeForest Buckner (ankle, injured reserve), cornerback Kenny Moore II (hip) and cornerback JuJu Brents (knee, injured reserve).

Still, quarterback Joe Flacco erased the Jaguars’ two-touchdown fourth quarter lead with three deep balls to wide receiver Alec Pierce, the last of which was a 65-yard game-tying touchdown.
