Rom-com lovers, celebrity gossip fiends, people who love to eavesdrop on a really good first date at a bar — today is for you. Andrew Garfield finally went on Chicken Shop Date. After CSD host Amelia Dimoldenberg’s two internet-breaking red-carpet interviews with Garfield, the pair finally sat down for some chicken nuggets and good ol’ fashioned flirting.
Considering the fact that people have been demanding this happen for two years — sparks first flew between these two on the red carpet at a GQ event — it could’ve been a major letdown. Expectations were high, and I’m happy to report that these two have given us one of the best CSD videos ever. The real-life chemistry is palpable, and Garfield, unlike some of Dimoldenberg’s other guests, is genuinely intrigued by both the format and his host.
When Dimoldenberg tells him that she is no stranger to asking people out (both in the chicken shop and the outside world), he affirms her. “I think that’s sexy. I think that’s really hot,” he says. He tells her that she’s funny, and when she tells him the same he says, “You’re funnier, that’s a quality I really appreciate in you.” Are you swooning?
Garfield’s big move comes about halfway through the episode, when he gestures to all the film equipment and asks, “If this wasn’t here, do you think we’d actually go on a date? Do you think this is fucked up, the fact that we could’ve actually gone on a date at some point? Maybe. I actually believe, maybe, we could’ve.” That high-pitched sound you just heard was actually every romance writer alive getting the exact same idea for their next book.
What could possibly be next for these two? Garfield is newly single, so that bodes well. I think ideally I’d like to see them do this every ten years, Before Sunrise style. That way they can’t give us too much of what we want — that wouldn’t be very sexy.
PERTH, Australia — A British YouTuber and rapper known as Yung Filly has been charged with raping and choking a woman in a hotel room following an Australian music performance.
The 29-year-old, whose real name is Andres Felipe Valencia Barrientos, was freed on bail when he appeared Thursday on several charges in a court in Perth, the west coast city where police allege his crimes were allegedly committed on Sept. 28.
His bail conditions include that he remain in Western Australia state, doesn’t contact his alleged victim and doesn’t post about the case on social media.
He was ordered to surrender his passport and to report to police daily. His surety was set at 100,000 Australian dollars ($67,400).
Prosecutors had opposed bail because of a risk that he would flee the state.
His lawyer, Seamus Rafferty, did not immediately respond to a request for comment on Friday.
Barrientos is currently touring Australia and was arrested in the east coast city of Brisbane on Tuesday, a police statement said. The Colombia-born entertainer, who has 1.8 million followers on YouTube, was extradited back to Perth on Wednesday.
His Australian tour began in Perth and traveled to Melbourne and Sydney before it was scheduled to end in Brisbane.
Police allege he assaulted a woman aged in her 20s in a hotel room after he had performed in a Perth nightclub.
His show at Bar1 Nightclub was promoted by ticket-selling platform MoshTix as a “seamless blend of spontaneity, humor and music that’ll have you talking for weeks!”
He is charged with four counts of rape, three counts of assault causing bodily harm and one count of impeding the woman’s normal breathing or circulation by applying pressure to her neck, police said.
Barrientos started his YouTube career in 2013 and music career in 2017. He has also hosted or appeared in several television programs.
He won a MOBO Award, an annual British music award presentation honoring achievements in “music of Black origin,” in the Best Media Personality category in 2021.
If there’s one person who could bring 2016 festival makeup vibes to the football field, it’s Taylor Swift. Football season has been underway for five weeks now, and for Swifties, this only means one thing: an influx of new Taylor Swift looks to obsess over. Forget about touchdowns or team rivalries — all Swifties want to know is what she’s wearing in her WAG era as a supportive girlfriend to Travis Kelce. And out of all her styles over the past year, her most recent game day look may have caused the biggest stir yet.
At Monday night’s game with the Kansas City Chiefs and New Orleans Saints, Swift complimented her signature red lip with an unexpected touch: golden glitter faux freckle patches by a small, female-owned business Fazit. In response, Swifties flocked to the internet, boosting web traffic and sales of the brand by 1000%; some retailers like Urban Outfitters sold out of the temporary tattoos entirely. With this in mind, we can expect to see tons of sparkly noses and cheeks as the singer continues with the North American leg of her tour.
For those curious about how to get the look, it’s simple. Press the Fazit Makeup Patches onto the face, pat for 60 seconds with a wet towel, and peel to reveal shimmery, dotted skin — just like the temporary tattoos of childhood. What makes Fazit better than just dotting your face with liquid gold eyeliner is the promise that they’re already designed in the perfect natural-looking freckle shape, and will survive through dancing and heat — important information for anyone who’s going to Swift’s sure-to-be-sweaty show in Miami next week.

Earlier this year, following a private pregnancy, Halle Bailey announced via Instagram that she had welcomed a son, Halo, with YouTuber turned rapper DDG. The couple first sparked breakup rumors a few months later, in April, after unfollowing one another on the app, according to Elle, but went on to enjoy an Italian vacation a few months after that in July. Alas, it looks like their relationship has officially come to an end: On October 3, DDG shared a statement on his Instagram Story confirming the breakup.
“After much reflection and heartfelt conversations, Halle and I have decided to go our separate ways,” the statement reads. “Despite the changes in our relationship, our love for each other remains deep and true. We are still best friends and adore each other.” It goes on to confirm the former couple’s commitment to co-parenting and ask for “understanding and support.”

Since they first ignited dating rumors at an Usher concert in January 2022, the relationship between Halle Bailey and DDG has faced criticism from all sides; in a 2022 cover story for Elle, Bailey addressed the backlash directly, saying, “People have seen me grow up, so of course they might have something to say about how I feel or what I do with my life. I just choose not to read it. I ignore the naysayers and follow my own heart and intuition.”
I can only hope her intuition will lead her to a powerful breakup album.
Just weeks after Vice President Kamala Harris received the endorsement of pop superstar, rock legend Bruce Springsteen threw his support behind her as well. In a video post on Instagram, the 75-year-old rocker—who is known simply as “The Boss”—suggested this is “one of the most consequential elections in our nation’s history.”
The “Born in the USA” singer further offered a critique of former President Donald Trump, while he lamented the fact that the nation is as “politically, spiritually and emotionally divided” as at any time since the American Civil War.
“It doesn’t have to be this way,” Springsteen added.
The endorsement wasn’t entirely surprising, as Springsteen has a long history of backing Democrats. He previously endorsed Barack Obama in 2008, and in the 2020 U.S. presidential election provided a narration for a Joe Biden campaign ad while the song “My Hometown” played in the background.
Whether Springsteen’s endorsement will move the needle in this year’s razor-close election isn’t clear, it likely could cost him some fans due to the deep political divide he warned about.
“Steve Van Zandt was quoted recently as saying Bruce’s political views had cost the band a lot of fans,” explained Bruce Barber, professional in residence at the University of New Haven and general manager of radio station WNHU. “He’s probably right—but that to me is what a true artist is all about, the ability to speak truths, in words and song, regardless of the consequences. Springsteen’s support for Kamala Harris is definitely not a surprise, but it’s another example of his undying commitment to being genuine in his art and his personal life.”
What About Bill?
Just as Springsteen released his endorsement of Harris, it was another celebrity that went viral on Thursday—namely, What About Bob? actor Bill Murray for his alleged backing of Trump.
Internet personality Bo Loudon posted a clip of Murray from 2016 “praising” some of the former president’s policies, and suggested “Who needs Taylor Swift when you have BILL MURRAY?”
The clip, which was seen nearly six million times, seemed to convince many that the Ghost Busters star had endorsed Trump. However, as of Friday afternoon, Bill Murray has been silent on the issue and hasn’t endorsed either candidate. According to Vanity Fair, Murray had campaigned for the Green Party’s Ralph Nader in the 2000 presidential race—but perhaps that was “lost in translation.”
Murray would just be the latest celebrity to see his/her/their endorsement of a candidate—even if it wasn’t made. Such endorsements might barely move the needle, but given how close this race is every single vote is going to matter.
“Celebrity endorsements are very important in today’s political world,” said Dr. Julianna Kirschner, lecturer at the Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism at the University of Southern California.
“Taylor Swift’s endorsement of Kamala Harris and Tim Walz has made notable political, cultural, and social waves. Likewise, other celebrities endorsing candidates can have a similar ripple effect,” added Kirschner.
Expect More Faux Endorsements
A video clip from eight years ago is hardly an endorsement, but it was enough for many to believe that Murray was a Trump supporter.
“Without any corroborating evidence, the comment’s validity appears dubious at best,” suggested Kirschner. “News organizations verify facts from several sources before broadcasting them, which is the likely reason for a lack of reporting on the subject. All we have right now is conjecture, a premise through which misinformation on social media thrives.”
These faux endorsements are just the latest form of misinformation that we’ve seen this election cycle. In this particular case, the video is just enough to make the story seem credible.
“Misinformation booms when information cannot be validated. In this case, Murray’s position is unclear,” added Kirschner. “Users may double down when presented with contrasting information is presented to them. There is plenty of research that would support the likelihood of such an outcome. Given the high chances of users doubling down, the possibility of celebrity endorsements moving the needle would be small but not insignificant. In the tight race we are in, everything, no matter how small, makes a difference.”
How Should Celebrities Respond?
The other side of this story is that Swift and Springsteen could receive some backlash from fans, but as Barber noted, the Boss likely knew it going in. In Murray’s case, he could face scrutiny for something he didn’t even do.
As an A-lister, he likely won’t be impacted; yet, we could see the careers of up-and-comers affected—perhaps running afoul of a casting director, movie producer, publicist, etc.
“From the celebrity’s perspective, they should be concerned with how they are politically represented online. This can affect their reputation and potential support from fans, which inevitably allows them to continue to do their work,” Kirschner continued.
And the problem could get worse. Murray may have actually offered his past comments in an interview, but advances in deep fakes could soon put words into the mouths of celebrities—living and dead alike!
“As AI becomes more advanced, it is likely that comments, images, and videos of what appears to be celebrities endorsing a candidate may be outright false,” warned Kirschner. “As cases like Murray’s attributed comment come up in the future, it will become increasingly challenging to discern fact from fiction.”

To get in the “Dancing with the Stars” spirit, Amendola stood up and showed off a touchdown dance for “Good Morning America.” He slid across the floor with a skip and spiked a football on the floor as his co-stars cheered.

Actress Chandler Kinney has played Willa in the Disney Channel Original Movie franchise “Zombies” franchise since 2020’s “Zombies 2.” Kinney also starred as Tabitha “Tabby” Haworthe on “Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin” and “Pretty Little Liars: Summer School,” continuations of the popular “Pretty Little Liars” franchise.
Kinney, who revealed she danced as a child, told “GMA” she was “nervous” and “excited” and complimented the talented cast and pros.

She was sentenced to 12 years in prison, fined $24,000, and ordered to pay nearly $200,000 in restitution. She was released on good behavior in February 2021.

He is the older brother of Academy Award-winning actress Julia Roberts and the father of actress Emma Roberts.

Having first joined Bachelor Nation on Joey Graziadei’s season of “The Bachelor,” she was named the lead of “The Bachelorette” season 21 and became the first Asian American lead in the franchise. Tran’s journey came to a dramatic end in a heartbreaking finale where she proposed to contestant Devin Strader, only for it to be revealed in the “After the Final Rose” special they had split.
Tran told “GMA” her experience on “The Bachelorette” will motivate her to succeed on “Dancing with the Stars.”
“I think heartbreak is the best motivator for success,” said Tran. “I’m out for blood. I’m ready.”

Disney is the parent company of Hulu, ABC News, and “Good Morning America.”
It seems that Lana Del Rey does not really have a “type” in the traditional sense. In recent years, she’s dated a cop, she got engaged to a guy who was in a YouTube cover band, then she dated a different musician, and then she got engaged again, this time to a musician and agent. Sure, you might look at that and think, Sounds like she likes musicians, actually. But Del Rey is going to zig when you want her to zag. Her latest rumored beau is a guy who gives alligator tours on an airboat in Louisiana.
Over the weekend, Del Rey was spotted holding hands with Jeremy Dufrene backstage at Leeds Festival in the U.K. The moment was captured by an excited fan who seemingly couldn’t care less about Dufrene.
The Daily Mail reported that the couple was also spotted shopping at Harrods in London and eating together at a local pub. The r/LanaDelRey sub-Reddit supplied photos of the outing and was quick to deliver judgments about the singer’s new man and his appearance (he looks like what you imagine a Louisiana gator professional might look like).
“I love her but she really has the weirdest taste in men,” wrote one commenter. “She’s cosplaying swamp so she has a reason to use it for the album,” wrote another, referring to Del Rey’s upcoming country album, Lasso.
Now, how does Lana Del Rey meet a guy who gives alligator tours? Beside the fact that she seems like the kind of person who would be into that kind of man, the answer is pretty simple. Back in 2019, Del Rey went on an alligator tour given by Dufrene. In a Facebook post from the time, she wrote, “Jeremy lemme be captain at Arthur’s Air Boat Tours” alongside a photo of her driving the boat with Dufrene at her side (the company is actually called Airboat Tours by Arthur, but who cares). So these two actually go way back.
It looks as though the pair reconnected earlier this year, when Del Rey went back on the alligator tour in May ahead of her appearance at Hangout Music Festival in Alabama. She even tagged him in her caption on Instagram, referring to him as “my guy.”
I’m sending all my love to Lana in her new romantic endeavor, but more important, I’m intriguedby this alligator tour. It’s so good that she went back a second time years later? The Daily Mail said that Kate Hudson went on it recently and that Glenn Powell has also gone. The website promises “one of the most unique and individualized swamp rides in Louisiana.” (It also notes that it is “minutes away from plantations.”) What is so special about it? Is it Jeremy’s charm? And who is Arthur? If the LDR redditors could stop bashing Dufrene’s looks and start answering these questions, I’d really appreciate it.
LOS ANGELES — LOS ANGELES (AP) — Carrie Underwood will be the next singer to sit behind the judges’ table on “American Idol,” filling Katy Perry’s spot after her departure from the show in May.
Underwood, who rose to fame after she won the singing competition show in 2005, will return 20 years later as a judge for the upcoming season, set to premiere in spring 2025. She’s the first “American Idol” alum to become a judge.
In an emotional video announcing Underwood’s new hosting gig, she said “I’m proud of everything that I was able to accomplish on the show, and I’m so proud of everything that I’ve accomplished since.”
The country singer, who is the most decorated artist in CMT Music Awards’ history with 25 wins, made waves with her rendition of Bonnie Raitt’s “I Can’t Make You Love Me” at her audition, and she quickly became a fan-favorite.
Underwood has also won eight Grammy Awards and consistently tops the charts with her albums and singles. She will be joining Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie, who each have seven seasons of judging experience under their belts, for the franchise’s 23rd season.
“This upcoming season marks 20 years since Carrie won America’s hearts on ‘Idol’ and launched her successful multi-Grammy Award-winning career. As a former Idol and dynamic musical force, she brings a remarkably unique perspective to one of the most popular shows on television,” said Craig Erwich, president of Disney Television Group, in a release from ABC. “This is a full-circle moment both for the show and audiences at home who have been tuning in for over two decades. Welcome home, Carrie.”
Longtime host Ryan Seacrest, who has been with the show since it premiered, will also return. Seacrest is also taking over Pat Sajak’s role as the host of “Wheel of Fortune” this fall.
Auditions for the new season will kick off Aug. 12 with the “Idol Across America” nationwide search for talent and will end in September. The season is set to premiere in the spring and will be available to watch on ABC and Hulu.
“American Idol” premiered in 2002 on Fox and was a hit for the network, but it was canceled in 2016. After two years off the air, the show was revived by ABC and has aired there for seven seasons. Perry was the first of the revival judges to leave the judges’ post.
A representative for Underwood did not immediately return requests for comment.
