The Packers have won three straight to get to 5-2, and yet find themselves looking up in the standings in the NFC North at the Lions and Vikings, both of whom are 5-1 on the year. The Packers are in line for their sixth win of the season with a trip to Jacksonville to take on the woeful 2-5 Panthers. Look for Jordan Love and the Packers’ air attack to have a big day on Sunday against one of the worst passing defenses in the league.

The Packers and Jaguars kick off in Jacksonville at 1 p.m. ET (10 a.m. PT) on Fox. Here’s how you can watch, even if the game isn’t available on your local Fox channel.

Packers vs. Jaguars game today: When and where?

This matchup sees the Jaguars host the Packers at 1 p.m. ET (10 a.m. PT) on Sunday. The game will take place at EverBank Stadium in Jacksonville, Florida, home of the Jaguars.

How to watch the Packers vs. Jaguars game online from anywhere using a VPN

If you find yourself unable to view the game locally due to incorrectly applied blackout restrictions, you may need a different way to watch the game and that’s where using a VPN can come in handy. A VPN is also the best way to stop your ISP from throttling your speeds on game day by encrypting your traffic, plus it’s a great idea for when you’re traveling and find yourself connected to a Wi-Fi network, and you want to add an extra layer of privacy for your devices and logins.

With a VPN, you’re able to virtually change your location on your phone, tablet or laptop to get access to the game. So if your internet provider or mobile carrier has stuck you with an IP address that incorrectly shows your location in a blackout zone, a VPN can correct that problem by giving you an IP address in your correct, nonblackout area. Most VPNs, like our Editors’ Choice, ExpressVPN, make it really easy to do this.

Using a VPN to watch or stream sports is legal in any country where VPNs are legal, including the US and Canada, as long as you’ve got a legitimate subscription to the service you’re streaming. You should be sure your VPN is set up correctly to prevent leaks: Even where VPNs are legal, the streaming service may terminate the account of anyone it deems to be circumventing correctly applied blackout restrictions.

How to watch Packers vs. Jaguars in the US

Sunday’s Packers vs. Jaguars game is on Fox nationally. The good news for football fans is that Fox is available on most of the major live TV streaming services. The least expensive such service is Sling TV Blue.

Sling/CNET

Sling TV’s Blue plan includes NBC, Fox and the NFL Network, though it does not have CBS, ABC or ESPN. Enter your address here to see which local channels are available where you live. NFL RedZone is also available for an extra $11 a month.

Note that to get ABC and ESPN, you’ll need to switch to the similarly priced Orange plan (which drops Fox, NBC and NFL Network) or go for the combined $60 a month Orange and Blue bundle that includes channels from both packages. With the combined plan, the Sports Extra add-on, which has RedZone, is an extra $15 a month.

One important caveat: In our experience, Fox local affiliates will only be available if your billing address is in one of the 18 metropolitan areas covered in Sling’s agreement. If you’re outside of one of these areas, you’re probably better off going with one of the alternate services listed below.

Numerous other live TV streaming services carry local Fox stations as well, namely YouTube TV, Hulu Plus Live TV, DirecTV Stream and Fubo. They all cost far more than Sling, but they also carry a full complement of live channels, including football broadcasting channels like CBS and ESPN. Check out our live TV streaming services guide for details.

For $73 a month, you’ll get all the major football channels with YouTube TV. Plus, RedZone is available for an extra $11 per month. Plug in your ZIP code on YouTube TV’s welcome page to see which local networks are available in your area.

Fubo

Fubo costs at least $92 per month when you factor in the RSN fees it charges, which you don’t need for NFL games but must pay for anyway. Fubo’s base plan costs $80 but it charges an extra $12 a month if you get one RSN or $15 a month if you have two or more in your area. RedZone is available for an extra $11 per month, and you can get 4K broadcasts with its $90-a-month Elite plan. It’s worth noting that Fubo has recently introduced a new $30 off for the first month offer for its Pro, Elite With Sports Plus and Deluxe plans. Click here to see which local channels you get in your region with Fubo. Read our Fubo review.

All the live TV streaming services above offer free trials, allow you to cancel anytime and require a solid internet connection. Looking for more information? Check out our live TV streaming services guide.

An over-the-air antenna connected to your TV provides another option for Fox. The best part about antennas is that there are no streaming or monthly fees required, although you will need to make sure you have good reception.

Quick tips for streaming the Packers vs. Jaguars game using a VPN

  • With four variables at play — your ISP, browser, video streaming provider and VPN — experience and success may vary.
  • If you don’t see your desired location as a default option for ExpressVPN, try using the “search for city or country” option.
  • If you’re having trouble getting the game after you’ve turned on your VPN and set it to the correct viewing area, there are two things you can try for a quick fix. First, log into your streaming service subscription account and make sure the address registered for the account is an address in the correct viewing area. If not, you may need to change the physical address on file with your account. Second, some smart TVs — like Roku — don’t have VPN apps you can install directly on the device itself. Instead, you’ll have to install the VPN on your router or the mobile hotspot you’re using (like your phone) so that any device on its Wi-Fi network now appears in the correct viewing location.
  • All of the VPN providers we recommend have helpful instructions on their main site for quickly installing the VPN on your router. In some cases with smart TV services, after you install a cable network’s sports app, you’ll be asked to verify a numeric code or click a link sent to your email address on file for your smart TV. This is where having a VPN on your router will also help, since both devices will appear to be in the correct location.
  • And remember, browsers can often give away a location despite using a VPN, so be sure you’re using a privacy-first browser to log into your services. We normally recommend Brave.

The New York Jets will kick off a new era with a pivotal Monday Night Football matchup against the Buffalo Bills to close out Week 6.

The AFC East showdown marks the Jets’ first game since head coach Robert Saleh was fired. Interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich will now take charge of a 2-3 team that is coming off a defeat against the Minnesota Vikings in London last week.

On the other side, the Buffalo Bills have cooled off since their strong 3-0 start. Josh Allen and Co. fell flat against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday Night Football in Week 4 for their first loss of the season and followed that up with a road loss against the Houston Texans in Week 5.

The last Bills-Jets Monday Night Football contest was an unforgettable one. Aaron Rodgers suffered a season-ending Achilles injury just four snaps into his Jets debut, but the team came through with a stunning overtime victory thanks to a punt return touchdown from Xavier Gipson.

What will the next chapter in the Bills-Jets rivalry have in store? Here’s what to know about the Monday night matchup.

There’s very little reason to watch the Cleveland Browns this season. They’ve failed to score 20 points in any of their four games, three of which have been losses. They also employ the one of the least effective quarterbacks in the league who, it must be noted, has yet again been accused of sexual assault and somehow is still starting NFL games.

Things are much rosier for the Commanders, who have won three straight behind the stellar play of Jayden Daniels. The rookie quarterback has burst onto the NFL scene by completing more than 80% of his passes while throwing for three touchdowns and rushing for four more over the first month of his pro career.

The Browns and Commanders are set to kick off in Maryland at 1 p.m. ET (10 a.m. PT) on Fox. Here’s how you can watch, even if the game isn’t available on your local Fox channel.

PlayStation Network is back online following a lengthy outage

PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 console users are now able to play online games again following a massive outage on Sony’s gaming network that started on Monday night. The official PSN Service Status page briefly said that “all services are up and running” were up and running on Tuesday morning before slipping back into the red in the game streaming section as of 8:25AM ET.

The message currently reads, “You might have difficulty launching games, apps, or network features. We’re working to resolve the issue as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience.”

The overall outage lasted for around eight hours, and impacted effectively every PlayStation system across “Other, PS Vita, PS3, PS4, PS5, Web.” While the problem seems largely resolved, some gamers were still posting on social media about issues with communications and connectivity features.

During the outage, players couldn’t sign in, play multiplayer games, or play single-player games that needed to connect and sign-in online first. Offline games were seemingly unaffected. On my end, attempting to launch a game previously brought up “PS5 error Code WS-116522-7,” and the associated webpage from Sony tells me that “The system software is the update failed.”

Update, October 1st: Noted many of the issues have been resolved.

Here’s a recent soccer story from the AP:

RIO DE JANEIRO (AP) — Under pressure after a series of bad results, Brazil’s national team is likely to have a Real Madrid trio up front for two upcoming World Cup qualifying matches in October.

Coach Dorival Júnior included seven forwards in his squad announced Friday, with Madrid’s Vinicius Júnior, Rodrygo and Endrick all expected to start in attack away against Chile on Oct. 10 and at home against Peru five days later.

Veteran forward Neymar, who was initially expected to return in October from the ACL injury he sustained last year, remains out of Brazil’s squad.

Brazil is only in fifth place in South American qualifying after eight games. Chile and Peru are the bottom two teams in the 10-team round-robin competition.

Earlier this month, Brazil had a lackluster performance in a 1-0 victory against Ecuador and lost 1-0 at Paraguay.

Dorival Júnior, who took over as Brazil coach at the start of the year, has been under pressure since his team was knocked out by Uruguay in the Copa America quarterfinals in July.

WHAT’S AT STAKE?

The Cornhuskers’ perfect start ended with an overtime loss last week, which knocked them out of the Top 25. This week, they’ll ask star freshman QB Dylan Raiola to help them rebound in his first road game — at a sold out Ross-Ade Stadium that promises to be painted in red. Purdue has lost two straight and needs a win before playing back-to-back games at Wisconsin, where it has historically struggled, and at rival No. 19 Illinois.

KEY MATCHUP

Nebraska’s ground game vs. Purdue’s run defense. No, Nebraska hasn’t adopted its old-school ground and pound theory — yet this season. Perhaps that changes this weekend. After rushing for 50 yards in a 31-24 loss to then No. 24 Illinois, a temporary change could be coming. Purdue is allowing 269.0 yards rushing per game, the third-highest total in the FBS. Until Purdue proves it can stop the run, opponents are going to keep it on the ground.

PLAYERS TO WATCH

Nebraska: LB John Bullock has played at an all-conference level so far, making a career-high nine tackles in back-to-back games. He also had a sack and forced a fumble to set up a ‘Huskers TD last week against Illinois. Through four games, he leads the Huskers in tackles, has two sacks, four tackles for loss and three pass breakups.

Here’s a recent soccer story from the AP:

MADRID (AP) — Barcelona extended its perfect start to the Spanish league season but lost goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen with a serious knee injury on Sunday.

Barcelona routed host Villarreal 5-1 to pick up its sixth straight victory in the competition, but saw captain Ter Stegen leave the match on a stretcher just before halftime after his right knee buckled when he fell awkwardly after going up for a ball crossed into the area.

Barcelona president Joan Laporta said the injury appeared to be a torn ligament but more tests would be conducted. Local media reports said Ter Stegen went from the stadium to the hospital in an ambulance, and left the hospital in a wheelchair.

“This injury makes us sad. I think the injury will be huge but we have to wait for more information,” Barcelona coach Hansi Flick said. “We have to accept it. It’s not easy. It was an accident. It’s very tough.”

Players from both teams immediately called for medical assistance after Ter Stegen fell to the ground in pain. He was replaced by reserve goalkeeper Iñaki Peña.

Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, who missed most of last season with a similar injury, showed his support to Ter Stegen with a message on X, saying that it hurt to see his colleague leave the field like that and that he hoped he would recover soon.

It was the latest injury to Flick’s Barcelona, which is already without Dani Olmo, Frenkie de Jong, Gavi and Ronald Araujo, among others.

Robert Lewandowski scored a pair of first-half goals and Raphinha added two after the interval, with Pablo Torre also scoring for the Catalan club in the second half. Lewandowski now has six goals from the first six matches and leads the league in scoring.

Ayoze Pérez scored the only goal for the hosts in the 38th, with his team already trailing 2-0. Villarreal had entered the round in fourth place, four points behind Barcelona.

Barcelona has outscored its opponents 22-5 in its first six games. It has a four-point lead over Real Madrid, which beat Espanyol 4-1 on Saturday.

Atletico Madrid held

Atletico Madrid missed a chance to keep pace with Barcelona after a 1-1 draw with Madrid rival Rayo Vallecano.

Rayo took the lede through Isi Palazón in the 35th minute, and Conor Gallagher equalized for the visitors in the 49th.

Atletico was coming off three straight wins in all competitions.

In other results Sunday, Getafe and Leganes drew 1-1 and Athletic Bilbao defeated Celta Vigo 3-1.

Things couldn’t go much worse for the Panthers in 2023. At 2-15, Carolina was the NFL’s worst team and failed to win a single game on the road. They also didn’t even have their own top pick, having sent it to the Bears in 2023 so that the Panthers could take QB Bryce Young.

Young and Carolina will be hoping to start 2024 on the right foot when they head to New Orleans on Sunday to take on the Saints. The Saints enter 2024 having just missed the playoffs last year, finishing with a 9-8 record that put them ninth in the NFC and second in their division, losing tiebreakers to the Seahawks, Packers (wild card) and Buccaneers (divison).

DirecTV

All the live TV streaming services above offer free trials, allow you to cancel anytime and require a solid internet connection. Looking for more information? Check out our live TV streaming services guide.

An over-the-air antenna connected to your TV provides another option for Fox. The best part about antennas is that there are no streaming or monthly fees required, although you will need to make sure you have good reception.

Quick tips for streaming the Panthers vs. Saints game using a VPN

Time, TV schedule and how to watch online

The New England Patriots open their 2024 regular season schedule with a road trip to Paycor Stadium on Sunday to take on the Cincinnati Bengals.

An ugly 4-13 finish to the 2023 season is plenty of motivation for a Patriots team entering a game for the first time in 24 years without former coach Bill Belichick on the sideline. The team parted ways with the legendary coach back in January and hired Jerod Mayo as the new head coach in New England.

It would be a powerful statement for the first-year head coach to lead the Patriots to an upset win over the Bengals in the season opener. Granted, he’ll have his work cut out for him in beating a Bengals team with a returning Joe Burrow on the road.

However, crazier things have happened in Week 1 openers, and the Patriots are hoping to add to that list by pulling off a shocking upset win over a likely playoff-contending team.

Real Madrid vs. Valladolid prediction, pick, odds, live stream: How to watch La Liga online, start time

Real Madrid will be looking to bounce back from a 1-1 draw away at RCD Mallorca on opening day in La Liga when Real Valladolid visit Santiago Bernabeu on Sunday. Kylian Mbappe is set for his full home debut in front of Los Blancos’ supporters having only featured in the UEFA Super Cup in Warsaw so far and the draw on the road in Mallorca. Carlo Ancelotti will not be too worried by Real’s slow start but the Italian tactician knows that his team cannot afford to drop too many points with Barcelona starting with a win.

Valladolid actually got off to a winning start with a 1-0 success over RCD Espanyol so find themselves fourth in the early season standings. Although much will change in the coming round of games, only four sides made winning starts to their terms and Paulo Pezzolano’s men were one of those teams. A testing run featuring Barca, Real Sociedad, Sevilla and Mallorca before the end of September will be critical though.

Here are our storylines, how you can watch the match and more:

How to watch and odds

  • Date: Sunday, August 25 | Time: 11 a.m. ET
  • Location: Santiago Bernabeu – Madrid, Spain
  • TV: ESPN Deportes | Live stream: Fubo (try for free)
  • Odds: Real -700; Draw +700; Valladolid +1800

Last time out

A first win of the 2024-25 La Liga season will be considered a must for Los Blancos this weekend after drawing with Mallorca last time out. A win over Atalanta which included Mbappe’s first goal has already secured silverware but Ancelotti’s men got a dose of reality when Vedat Muriqi canceled out Rodrygo’s goal on the island. A solitary Raul Moro goal was enough to give Valladolid the win over Espanyol to start with three points.

Team news

Real: David Alaba remains out but will hope to be back after the October international break as the Austria international nears a return to training. Eduardo Camavinga is likely to be out until the end of September after getting injured before the Super Cup win. His absence will be tricky given that he usually fills in for Ferland Mendy at left back who is suspended after his red card in Mallorca. The France international is not expected back before Las Palmas next week.

Possible Real XI: Courtois; Carvajal, Militao, Rudiger, Vazquez; Valverde, Tchouameni, Bellingham; Rodrygo, Mbappe, Vini Jr.

Valladolid: Pezzolano has a number of new faces including Stipe Biuk, Victor Meseguer, Juanmi Latasa, Raul Moro, Amath Ndiaye, Stanko Juric, Andre Ferreira, Eray Comert and Karl Hein. However, Hein, Comert, Moro and Ndiaye are the main ones to have broken into the starting XI so far this season.

Possible Valladolid XI: Hein; L Perez, Sanchez, Boyomo, Rosa; Ndiaye, K Perez, Comert, Amallah, Moro; Sylla.

Prediction

Real should be able to recover after their false start and register their maiden win here. Rodrygo has laid down an early marker in terms of his intentions of not being overlooked for Mbappe or Vini Jr. while Ancelotti knows that he needs to get the best out of both the French and Brazilian superstars. Expect them to show up here and do an efficient job. Pick: Real 2, Valladolid 0.
