Watch Texans vs Packers game today: TV channel, time, streaming

If you’re a fan of MVP quarterbacks, look no further than Lambeau Field for the matchup of the afternoon.

The Houston Texans travel north for what could be a potential Super Bowl preview against the Green Bay Packers. Sitting at 5-1, a win for the Texans could mark the best start since 2012 thanks to stellar play from second-year gunslinger C.J. Stroud.

Meanwhile, the Packers remain in the hunt for the NFC North division behind second-year starter Jordan Love. Both passers entered the season as potential All-Pro options and favorites to win the league’s Most Valuable Player Award. A victory could solidify their status as a candidate to win the award, while the loser must pivot to potentially save their season.

Here’s how to watch the Texans-Packers game, including time, TV schedule and streaming information:

Alabama vs. Tennessee live stream, where to watch, TV channel, prediction, pick, football game odds, spread

This year’s edition of the Third Saturday in October rivalry feels like a College Football Playoff eliminator. No. 7 Alabama (5-1) and No. 11 Tennessee (5-1) are both coming off stressful wins preceded by surprise losses.

Tennessee needed overtime to beat Florida, 23-17, a week after a road loss to Arkansas. Meanwhile, Alabama barely held off South Carolina, 27-25, following its stunning upset at Vanderbilt. Each fanbase is nervous about how wobbly Alabama and Tennessee have looked in recent weeks.

Both teams have the talent to be real SEC and national championship contenders, but the path gets considerably harder with a loss on Saturday. Especially when you remember Alabama still has No. 19 Missouri and No. 8 LSU on the schedule, and Tennessee has a road trip to No. 5 Georgia on Nov. 16. A loss Saturday will demand perfection the rest of the way while a win will go a long way come selection day.

Follow along with LIVE updates from Alabama vs. Tennessee on Saturday

Alabama vs. Tennessee: Need to know

QB play needs to be better: Jalen Milroe shot up the Heisman Trophy betting odds after Alabama’s win over Georgia but has fallen back to earth in his last two games. He is currently at +1200 to take home college football’s most prestigious award, according to DraftKings. There’s still a tendency to try to do too much, leading to bad decisions and bad situational awareness at times. Throwing two interceptions and taking a safety against the Gamecocks has to get cleaned up to win against Tennessee. The Volunteers’ starting QB Nico Iamaleava may have the opposite problem, focusing so much on not making a major mistake that Tennessee is missing explosive play opportunities. Iamaleava hasn’t broken the 200-yard mark since Game 2 and has thrown for only one total touchdown in three SEC conference games. Tennessee can rely on a strong ground game, but it still needs a lot more from its ballyhooed starting quarterback.

Tennessee’s defense is legit: Under Josh Heupel, the Vols have made the most noise with what they do offensively, but this year the defense has carried them. Led by defensive coordinator Tim Banks, Tennessee’s defense has been superb in 2024. As our Brandon Marcello pointed out in his great Banks profile, Tennessee ranks second nationally in total defense (249.8 yards per game), yards per play (4), yards per rush (2.2) and third-down conversions allowed (23.8 percent). Tennessee faces its toughest test yet against Milroe, Ryan Williams and the rest of that Alabama offense, but its defensive line should cause some problems against an average Alabama offensive line.

Expect a rollicking game: Last season Tennessee raced out to a 20-7 halftime lead in Tuscaloosa only for Jalen Milroe and the Crimson Tide to dominate the second half and win 34-20. Two years ago, Tennessee also got out to a hot start (21-7 first quarter lead). Alabama stormed back but the Volunteers held the Tide off for a wild 52-49 finish that ended with the goalposts paraded around Knoxville that night. It’ll be rocking inside Neyland Stadium and no matter which team gets off to an early lead, buckle up for what should be a lively back-and-forth affair between two teams with plenty of experience in high-stakes rivalry games.

Alabama vs. Tennessee prediction, picks

Both teams have been inconsistent this season with highs like Alabama’s win over Georgia and Tennessee’s over Oklahoma paired with shocking lows of road losses. Alabama is the more explosive team and has shown it can win in a track meet-type game, but its defense has left a lot to be desired so far this season. Vanderbilt straight up outplayed Alabama’s defense and got what it needed over and over again on third down. Tennessee should have success running the ball against the Tide, but there remain questions whether Nico Iamaleava can make enough big plays to win a game like this. To this point this season, he hasn’t been able to though it largely hasn’t caught up to Tennessee outside of the Arkansas loss. With what should be a raucous environment, you are best off betting Tennessee to cover in a tight one. Pick: Tennessee +3

Cher Performs at 2024 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show: Watch

Cher Performs at 2024 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show: Watch

Singer closed out the Victoria’s Secret runway with a medley of “Believe” and “Strong Enough”

Cher served classic glamour as she hit the runway at the revived Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show Tuesday. The iconic pop star headlined the show, and performed a medley of her hits “Strong Enough” and “Believe,” transforming the runway into a disco dance floor as the likes of Gigi and Bella Hadid walked the catwalk and mouthed along to her songs’ lyrics.

Before she took the stage, photos of Cher’s most iconic fashion moments (shout out to Bob Mackie) flashed onstage as a choir sang in unison. Cher then took the stage amid applause with “Strong Enough” while surrounded by a dozen dancers who mirrored her slick black hair and corseted outfit.

The camera panned to clips of models watching backstage before Cher stepped onto a golden platform to perform her classic song “Believe” as models started to trickle onto the runway dressed in red looks. (Bella Hadid was the last to walk the stage as the camera panned to the star-studded audience, which included Queen Latifah.)

After Hadid walked down the runway and Cher left the stage, Tyra Banks marked her grand return in a corseted look while accompanied by the dozens of models who participated in this year’s fashion show.

Trending

Cher’s appearance in the show follows the release of her greatest hits compilation, Forever. She’ll continue to turn back time with her self-titled memoir this fall. Split into two volumes, Part One of her life story will be released in November. This year, the pop icon was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. The ceremony is set to take place this weekend.

The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show aired annually from 1995 to 2018. The 2019 show was canceled due to poor ratings the previous year as well as public scrutiny aimed towards the show’s organizer Edward Razek, who had made comments about not wanting to cast transgender or plus-sized models in his show. Razek faced further criticism for fostering a culture of misogyny and harassment within the brand, eventually stepping down.

New USA head coach Mauricio Pochettino will get to experience the intense rivalry between Mexico and the USMNT in person for the first time on Tuesday in an intriguing friendly clash at the Estadio Akron.

Today’s game comes hot on the heels of Pochettino’s debut as boss just four days ago, which saw the USA beat Panama 2-0 in Austin, thanks to goals from Yunus Musah and Ricardo Pepi. It’s set to be a much-changed lineup for the visitors this evening, with Christian Pulisic, Weston McKennie, Zack Steffen and Marlon Fossey all unavailable through injury.

Mexico haven’t played a competitive match since the Copa America back in June, with Javier Aguirre’s team coming into this match off the back of a 2-2 friendly draw against La Liga side Valencia at the weekend.

Mexico host the USA at the Estadio Akron in Zapopan on Tuesday, Oct. 15. Kickoff is set for 8:30 p.m. CST local time in Mexico. That makes it a 10:30 p.m. ET or 7:30 p.m. PT kick-off in the US and Canada.

How to watch the Mexico vs. USMNT match online from anywhere using a VPN

If you find yourself unable to view this friendly match locally, you may need a different way to watch the match — that’s where using a VPN can come in handy. A VPN is also the best way to stop your ISP from throttling your speeds on game day by encrypting your traffic, and it’s also a great idea if you’re traveling and find yourself connected to a Wi-Fi network and you want to add an extra layer of privacy for your devices and logins.

With a VPN, you’re able to virtually change your location on your phone, tablet or laptop to get access to the game. Most VPNs, like our Editors’ Choice, ExpressVPN, make it really easy to do this.

Using a VPN to watch or stream sports is legal in any country where VPNs are legal, including the US, UK and Canada, as long as you have a legitimate subscription to the service you’re streaming. You should be sure your VPN is set up correctly to prevent leaks: Even where VPNs are legal, the streaming service may terminate the account of anyone it deems to be circumventing correctly applied blackout restrictions.

ExpressVPN is our current best VPN pick for people who want a reliable and safe VPN, and it works on a variety of devices. It’s normally $13 a month, but if you sign up for an annual subscription for $100 you’ll get three months free and save 49%. That’s the equivalent of $6.67 a month with code SPECIALDEAL, which should be automatically applied.

Note that ExpressVPN offers a 30-day money-back guarantee.

Quick tips for streaming international soccer using a VPN

  • With four variables at play — your ISP, browser, video streaming provider and VPN — your experience and success when streaming soccer may vary.
  • If you don’t see your desired location as a default option for ExpressVPN, try using the “search for city or country” option.
  • If you’re having trouble getting the game after you’ve turned on your VPN and set it to the correct viewing area, there are two things you can try for a quick fix. First, log into your streaming service subscription account and make sure the address registered for the account is an address in the correct viewing area. If not, you may need to change the physical address on file with your account. Second, some smart TVs — like Roku — don’t have VPN apps you can install directly on the device itself. Instead, you’ll have to install the VPN on your router or the mobile hotspot you’re using (like your phone) so that any device on its Wi-Fi network now appears in the correct viewing location.
  • All of the VPN providers we recommend have helpful instructions on their main site for quickly installing the VPN on your router. In some cases with smart TV services, after you install a cable network’s sports app, you’ll be asked to verify a numeric code or click a link sent to your email address on file for your smart TV. This is where having a VPN on your router will also help, since both devices will appear to be in the correct location.
  • And remember, browsers can often give away a location despite using a VPN, so be sure you’re using a privacy-first browser to log into your services. We normally recommend Brave.

What Time Is The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show? Here’s How To Watch

Get ready to spread your wings—the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show is back for the first time since 2018. The event returns with a star-studded lineup featuring world-famous models like Tyra Banks, Gigi Hadid, Paloma Elsesser, Adriana Lima, and more. Tonight’s show will bring back the “glamour, wings, fashion and musical entertainment our customers know and love – with our values and brand mission of today at the forefront,” according to a press release. The program was canceled in 2019 following the 2018 broadcast, which drew only 3.2 million viewers, marking the lowest viewership in the event’s history and the fifth consecutive year of declining viewership.

Several controversies have also rocked the lingerie brand in the last decade. “Australian supermodel Robyn Lawley in 2018 called for a boycott on the brand for ‘telling women there is only one kind’ of beautiful body, parent company L Brands’ CEO Les Wexner’s ties to Jeffrey Epstein were revealed in 2019, and a 2020 investigation by the New York Times said the brand had fostered a ‘culture of misogyny, bullying and harassment,’” Forbes previously reported.

When announcing the 2024 show in May, Victoria’s Secret wrote on Instagram that they “read the comments and heard you,” promising a show that will “reflect who we are today, plus everything you know and love.”

This year, Banks is reclaiming her angel wings after two decades. Joining her in tonight’s show are Hadid, Elsesser, Lima, Imaan Hammam, Candice Swanepoel, Grace Elizabeth, Taylor Hill, Mayowa Nicholas, Devyn Garcia, Barbara Palvin, Behati Prinsloo, Ashley Graham, and Jasmine Tookes. Plus, there could be some surprise guest angels making appearances.

The musical headliner for tonight is Grammy-winning artist Tyla, whom Victoria’s Secret chose for her “vibrant personality” and “innovative take on pop and R&B,” per Rolling Stone. For the first time, the musical lineup features an all-female roster, with pop icon Cher and K-pop star Lisa also set to perform.

WATCH: Bill Clinton rallies for Harris at Georgia campaign event

WATCH: Bill Clinton rallies for Harris at Georgia campaign event

ALBANY, Ga. (AP) — Former President Bill Clinton on Monday made another campaign stop in Georgia, urging voters to back Vice President Kamala Harris on Election Day.

The campaign stop came one day after the former president urged churchgoers in Albany, Georgia, on Sunday to rally behind Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign for the office he once held.

Watch the former president’s remarks in the player above.

“Uniting people and building, being repairers of the breach, as Isaiah says, those are the things that work,” Clinton said. “Blaming, dividing, demeaning — they get you a bunch of votes at election time, but they don’t work.”

While Mount Zion Baptist Church was not quite full, a hefty crowd welcomed Clinton with a standing ovation. Many attendees were older, but some younger people were dispersed throughout the pews.

“I think it was a great advancement for southwest Georgia to have the former president come to grace us today during the church service and spread the word about voting, especially to our young people,” said Takisha Campbell.

Georgia is one of seven states seen as pivotal in this year’s presidential race, and turnout among Black voters could hold the key for Democrats to winning the state’s 16 electoral votes.

Democrat Joe Biden won Georgia against then-President Donald Trump in 2020 by 11,779 votes out of more than 5 million cast. That was the first time a Democrat carried the state since Clinton in 1992. Four years later, Clinton lost the state to Republican Bob Dole but won reelection.

In 1992, Clinton and then-Sen. Al Gore rode a campaign bus through southwest Georgia to court rural voters. Harris and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz revived the approach earlier this year by visiting Savannah and Liberty County in the southeastern part of the state, but they did not travel west.

Albany is a historic spot in the Civil Rights Movement, at Mount Zion, Clinton reminisced on a time when politics were less polarized and lamented a political climate that has been poisoned with misinformation.

He pointed to the post by U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., post on X claiming that Democrats caused Hurricane Helene, which swept through the southeast last month. And he said Trump’s running mate, Ohio Sen. JD Vance, who has repeatedly failed to acknowledge that Trump lost the White House in 2020, was a “yes man” to Trump.

At the Black church, Clinton played up Harris’ accomplishments and promises, including her involvement in Biden’s work to reduce insulin costs and revive the economy. He said she would pave the way for greater economic opportunity, mentioning her plan to provide financial support for first-time homeowners.

Regina Whearry, who attended the service, said she wished more people knew the former president was coming. But she appreciated how Clinton touched on both policy and scripture.

“It was well needed because in this area, we have very low turnout, especially among our Black males,” Whearry said.

Democrats see Clinton as someone who can mobilize both rural voters and Black voters. But while Clinton was recognized for his popularity in southern Black communities, it remains to be seen whether he can still inspire Black voters as the population familiar with his presidency grows older. But he didn’t hold back in describing the stakes in this year’s race.

“This whole election and the future of the country is turning out to be what people who were sort of on the fence about voting are going to do in the next three and a half weeks,” Clinton said. “It’s the craziest thing I’ve ever seen.”

Black registered voters have overwhelmingly favorable views of Harris and negative views of Trump despite his attempts to appeal to nonwhite voters, according to a recent poll from The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research. But the poll also shows that many Black voters aren’t sure whether Harris would improve the country overall or better their own lives.

Albany was an early battleground in the fight for civil rights. The city garnered national attention as hundreds of protesters, including Martin Luther King Jr., were arrested and jailed in 1961 and 1962.

Clinton, who was governor of Arkansas before he became president, also spoke at the Harris campaign’s Albany office, saying he asked the campaign to send him to rural areas, where he feels most at home.
